Mestre Glauber Fernandes started training capoeira in 1982 in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil with Mestre Suíno. He also trained with then-Contramestre Salário, Professor Marujo and Professor Marrom, all disciples of Mestre Suíno. In 1994 he graduated from university with a major in Physical Education, and in 1996 he moved to New Jersey. In 2000 he started teaching a Capoeira credit course at Bloomfield College. In August of 2005, he went to Brazil to receive the title of Mestre. He is currently teaching at the Drew University Capoeira Club and Studio Yoga of Madison, NJ.

With Capoeira Legados, Glauber is one of the founders and currently the President of the company.

In addition to all of the Capoeira activities, Glauber is also a real estate appraiser in New Jersey with his own appraisal company, Lumen Appraisals
